Khmu New Year celebrations will take place in a village close to Luang Prabang town to be held on December 15, 2017 and involve colourful costumes, dance, song and traditional games.
The New Year is a time for the Khmu people to gather and give thanks to their ancestors for their good health, harvest and peaceful community. It’s also a time to pray for harmony for the coming year.
